I have embarked upon this journey of treating the earth (my garden in this case) the way I would treat my dearest friend or lover.

In the evening I have a sunset ritual of spraying all the plants with flower essences to support their energetic health.

Caring for the soil in this way has brought back a sense of belonging. When we develop an intimate relationship with nature we're developing an intimate relationship with ourselves.

Our spirits may very well be eternal and cosmic, but our physical bodies are home here on earth. If we don’t feel we belong here physically then we end up inflicting much suffering.

Beneath all our struggle there is this innocent desire to feel home. I believe the more we all can connect with nature and it’s resiliency the more we will feel we belong and the less suffering we will inflict.

To belong is to embody a love that cannot be conquered.

I began my journey into herbalism and nutrition because I was suffering from intense allergic reactions to the environment and food. After 7 years of trying to apply the "right" herbs and food I realized that it all came down to the soil.

Plants and animals need healthy soil as much as they themselves are the creators of it. When I realized there would be no healing without starting at the base of it all I switched my approach.

I went from applying herbalism and nutrition to my body to applying it to my greater body: aka the garden.

I’m entering this new zone Witch Gardening, as I call it, where instead of putting all my energy on the human body healing I’m looking at the base of all health in our soil, water and plants. If they aren’t vibrant then we won’t be vibrant.

Most recently I’ve been foraging and fermenting buckets of plants to make foliar sprays for my plants and every evening I apply flower essences to the entire garden to elevate their energetic wellbeing.

Instead of trying to guess what my soil needs I am tapping into the universal intelligence of plants and letting them decide what it needs while supporting the plants through these fermented brews, concoctions, vortex stirring, flower essences, blessings and even dance/songs.
